Day 18: Alice Springs to Trephina Gorge (East Macdonnell)

We packed up and headed about 70kms East to Trephina Gorge. On the way we checked out Jesse's Gap and Emily's Gap which are both a natural cut through the ranges.

When we arrived at Trephina we set up camp and soon after went for a walk along the sandy river bed of the gorge. There were small streams of water branching apart and spreading across the gorge floor. Being a hot day the kids loved it and ran and splashed each other while Penny and I simply sat on a rock and watched.
